These little guys are probably the easiest chilli’s to grow and the perennial bush, growing to aproximately 1 M, is easy to care for and requires little from the garden.
Small and compact, they have a very decorative appeal in the garden with the delightful red fruit.
On the general heat scale these chilli’s are at the low end of the high heat varieties.
They are absolutely essential for any Asian cuisine.
They are best planted directly where they are to grow as they do not like transplanting much.
They will grow well in a large pot but you need to make sure that you fertilize with a well balenced mix as they can develop lots of leaves and no fruit if the fertilizer is too high in nitrogen.
Excellent for freezing as well, they can be dried to maintain a steady supply.
