Piper kadsura or in Japan it is known as fūtōkazura (風藤).
In China, ‘feng teng’.
Kadsura is a low spreading plant that, unlike most of the ‘Peppers’ is quite frost hardy and possible to grow almost anywhere in Australia.
The dried stem of Piper kadsura is collected in summer and autumn, removed from root and leaf, and dried in the sun to relieve rheumatic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis with joint pain, muscular contracture and ankylosis.
