Oregon Grape – Seeds

Pharmaceutical companies all over the world begin to talk about their new discovery, and spend huge amounts of money on clinical trials.
Another native of the North American Pacific coast, this relative of the barberry is beautiful in the garden.
It rarely needs work in the garden, grows to about 2m in height and slightly larger across, has great bunches of yellow flowers that eventually turn into very edible berries.

The seeds are not difficult to germinate, but, as with many of the hard seed coated seeds, they may not all come up at once.
Best germinated in Spring / Summer, it is wise to spread them out to allow you to selectively remove the seedlings without disturbing everything else.
