Bloomsdale is a very suitable Spinach for Australian gardens.
It is quite neat in habit, with young leaves showing as rounded and older leaves starting to change shape to a more traditional spinach look.
You can sow the seed outside as soon as frost is not a problem and can start to harvest the outside leaves from about 6 weeks after planting.
We sow seed indoors during winter and plant out in spring to make the most of the seasons.
This is a good ‘all round green’ that is not too strong in taste and easy to cook.
When picked at a young age, it becomes the ‘Baby Spinach’ available in some grocery stores.
